More than 300 delegates will attend the Knowledge Transfer Scotland Conference at the Edinburgh Conference Centre @ Heriot-Watt University today, Friday 23 April 2010.
This prestigious event is being held for the first time at Heriot-Watt University. It aims to help the development of innovative and ground breaking research by sharing knowledge and matching it with funding opportunities that can help develop ideas further.
The Knowledge Transfer Scotland: Policy and Practice Conference will feature speakers from the Scottish Funding Council, Scottish Enterprise, and the UK Research Councils amongst others. It will also discuss innovative ways of sharing knowledge to benefit business. Organisations offering funding and practical opportunities for researchers to engage in Knowledge Transfer will also be taking part in the event.
Commercial Operations Manager at the Edinburgh Conference Centre, Lynne Geary said:
“This is another high profile conference coming to Scotland’s largest not-for-profit conference centre.
“We are delighted to welcome the KT Scotland conference. It is fitting that an event that seeks to help researchers develop their work is being hosted at a venue that ploughs all of its profits back into the academic life of Heriot-Watt University.”
Heriot-Watt University is renowned for its research quality and ability to attract support for research making the conference an excellent event to promote the University as a leader in knowledge transfer and as a conference and business destination.
